Nau mai, haere mai.
Ko Anahera Lewis Kemara tōku ingoa. I am a contemporary Māori artist and a proud descendant of Ngāi Tūhoe, Te Arawa, Te Whānau-ā-Apanui, and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa.
My art is inspired by Aotearoa’s native manu, whenua, and pūrākau, blending contemporary Māori expression with cultural narratives and symbolism.
Through my work, I celebrate identity, belonging, and the relationship between people, nature, whenua, and whakapapa.
